(Washington, D.C.) – Members of the Coalition of the Northeast Corridor (CNEC) congratulate Stephen Gardner on being named as Amtrak’s President effective December 1, 2020.

“For many years, Stephen has been a champion for the Northeast Corridor,” said Amit Bose, CNEC Chairman of the Board. “CNEC membership is confident that he will be a critical asset in addressing the current challenges that exist for passenger rail along the Corridor. We look forward to working with Stephen in his new role and Amtrak on these efforts.”

CNEC is the business community’s voice for strengthening rail infrastructure in order to reduce congestion, create jobs and grow the economy. We represent diverse stakeholders who rely on the Corridor to conduct commerce, access customers, and transport employees.
