(Washington, D.C.) – On October 20, the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee voted by Voice Vote to successfully confirm Amit Bose to serve as the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Administrator.
"As members of the Coalition, we applaud the Senate Commerce Committee in their efforts to confirm capable experts such as Amit to serve at the helms of our nation's leading rail transportation agency," said Michael Friedberg, Executive Director of the CNEC. "With the pending bipartisan transportation package that provides for historic investments in rail, we can think of no better time for Amit's confirmation. We urge the Senate to act quickly on his final confirmation vote and look forward to working with the Administrator in an official capacity."
